Wonderful place to eat! The server was very efficient and not pesty! Can't stand going to a restaurant and the server comes to the table every 5 seconds! A little crowded not so crowded to be uncomfortable.

This was a cozy restaurant, they’re learned about on Google. It has over 500 reviews and the average is 4.5. It was full with my party for a walked in. You see yourself. The waiter was nice and pretty fast. From the time we ordered, all of our food came out about 12 to 15 minutes later. That’s very reasonable considering how packed they were. We nabbed the last available seat.

Serving sizes are great. Great value when compared to other places. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the laid back homey feeling. Service was quick and very nice. My egg and bacon biscuit was large and fluffy.. When I chomped through the biscuit it seemed so light that I felt I was biting air. It was outstanding! My wife's ONE pancake (we weren't really hungry) could have fed 2 people. It was really good from the bite I swiped! We will visit again!

Shellie's Cafe on Teal Road Lafayette Indiana. Is truly a HomeTown family oriented business. Their country fried steak and scrambler was great. The country fried steak was one of the best in the long time. The Host promptly gave the two kids in our party placemats to color on with crayons which also had the kids menu on it!

3/19/25- My wife and I recently dined at Shellie’s and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I had previously won a gift card from Horizon Bank at the Latino Expo, and I would like to extend my gratitude to all three entities. Today, we visited Shellie’s Cafe for lunch and had a delightful time. The establishment operates on a self-seating basis, eliminating the need for waiting. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted by a staff member. The menu is diverse, offering a wide range of options without being overly complicated. The prices are reasonable, and they serve breakfast throughout the day, along with various sandwiches. My wife opted for the Denver omelette, while I chose the Double Cheeseburger with fries, which were available for an additional 1.99. The condiments were fresh, and I selected onion, tomato, pickles, and cheese, with one slice on each patty. The meal was satisfying, with fresh fries and a generous serving size accompanying the burger. The omelette was fluffy and generously filled. The servers were attentive, ensuring our drinks were always replenished and offering additional items, such as jalapenos, at no extra charge. Notably, they use grenadines for Cherry Coke. They also have outdoor seating and once the weather gets warm it will be open. We were both pleased with our visit and have dined at several local diners, but we intend to elevate Shellie’s to our preferred spot.

Awesome awesome food!! Breakfast is BEYOND great!! Homey decor and always busy...that tells it all!!

Shellies is awesome comfort food. I have never had a bad meal here. I usually just choose whatever the special is for the day and let fate take me from there. Everyone is always nice and service is great.

A very cute place to grab dinner, breakfast, or lunch! Lot of options and the staff is very friendly. Usually pretty busy. They just got new cash registers so they are able to take tap payment. Located right next to the fairgrounds and lots of other places so it can get a little bit busy. Lots of parking out front though or in back. Go check them out!
